In Search Of Nigeria President: Last Seen Friday Night En route To South Africa


President Muhammadu Buhari departed Nigeria for South Africa Saturday to attend the 25th African Union Summit currently underway  in Johannesburg.
A statement issued on Friday in Abuja by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said Mr. Buhari would undertake his first continental assignment since taking office by chairing  the meeting of the  Peace and Security Committee of the AU summit, which will hold on Saturday, the day of his arrival.
He will also hold a number of bilateral meetings that will consolidate his ongoing drive to secure Nigeria and its neighbours from Boko Haram.
The theme of this year’s AU meeting is itself the issue of security. President Buhari will return to Nigeria on the morning of Tuesday, June 16

However , report just reaching us now just indicated that he have not been sighted in South Africa below is the twitter report from South Africa.

Confusion As Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari Is Absent At Ongoing AU Summit

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari departed Nigeria for South Africa to attend the 25th African Union (AU) Summit holding in Johannesburg.
But during today’s ongoing summit, President Buhari statements on Nepad was read by a representative, urging NEPAD to prioritise industrialisation, infrastructure, women empowerment, regional integration at the ongoing summit..
It is however not clear why the President failed to appear at the event but according to International Journalists Present at the ongoing event holding in South Africa, Nigeria’s President is absent at the ongoing event..
