Nigeria will continue to go from one calamity to the other until it collapses. The terrorist, Buhari will continue to have nightmares and sleepness nights over Radio Biafra.Nigeria is a FRAUD and Nigerians lie as always ‪#‎Radio‬ Biafra is LIVE on FM in Enugu, Abia, Warri, Anambra, Orlu (IMO STATE) and in IGWEOCHA (PH). Please tell all men and women of goodwill and family members to tune in as always

Nigeria is sitting on the BLOOD OF INNOCENT BIAFRANS and will never have peace until it collapses and dismembers

Nigeria is a fraud ‪#‎Radio‬ Biafra is on FM across Biafraland...Not yet started but the terrorist, Buhari is already having nightmares

Propaganda cannot do it, subterfuge cannot pull it! I thought the zoo called Nigeria is not afraid. Why is the terrorist president of Nigeria panicking? Opening of information centres across the globe cannot save you...We have not started and you are already having NIGHTMARES.Biafra will soon open relay stations and satellite TV Networks that will enable even those in their bedrooms to be watching the abomination and fraud called Nigeria at their comfort and convenience. Every street and hideouts in the zoo would be televised across the globe. The terrorist, Buhari must be watching his back soon...UK,USA and others will not save you.

The much talked about Radio Biafra which the Nigerian government claimed was banned earlier today is currently transmitting on it frequencies and channels.
The radio station’s transmission which was monitored by our correspondent has it that nothing of the said jammed occurred.
Later the website of the much acclaimed radio released a statement on it official website saying;
“NBC lied to their master and gullible baboons and monkeys are jumping up and down. Radio Biafra is live in BiafraLand. They cannot even ban our local station, do they even know we also transmit via satellite and online as well? Have you seen why we call Nigerians baboons and monkeys, it’s because they are incapable of reasoning. No one baboon even the so-called terrorist in chief Buhari, were able to ask NBC which platform they jammed. Nigerians stupidity is appalling.”
The where about of the radio station is yet unknown to the Nigerian government as there were reports of security agencies ransacking the South-Eastern part of the country in search of where the radio stattion is broadcasting from.

Compelling Reason Why Nnamdi Kanu's Biafra Project Must Be Stopped- Joe Igbokwe

Compelling Reasons Why Nnamdi Kanu’s Biafra Project Must Be Stopped Now

Ever since former President Jonathan lost the presidential elections on March 28 2015 which some of us knew he will never win based on the facts that we all know and the statistics available, majority of Igbo have been unhappy and angry. They have been cursing and abusing the President and APC leaders wishing that President Buhari never existed and APC never formed.

Many of them have been so frustrated after the elections that they are now looking for a way to get back to the APC controlled Federal government.

Joe Igbokwe writes from Lagos

Now, one Nnamdi Kanu who has been dreaming about the State of Biafra has provided a space for them to vent their anger. Some of them have joined this small boy to begin to wish for the State of Biafra. Suddenly the so-called Radio Biafra has created a momentum for them. On facebook I have watched with a keen interest what these guys dish out on daily basis in the name of fighting for Biafra. They tell blatant lies, they create havoc, they make terrible noise, they abuse other Nigerians, and they preach unimaginable propaganda and hate that at once put Igbo land in potential danger. I have been waiting for the South East Governors to speak up but they have maintained a deafening silence that suggests complicity. I have also waited for our elders to call this small boy to order but nothing has happened. With the so-called Radio Biafra this boy I do not know his age has unleashed an unimaginable trailer-load of lies and potentially dangerous propaganda that has put Igbo nation in danger. It is now 45years after the Nigeria-Biafra Civil War and I think that Igbo must rise up to stop this small boy who never saw the 1967-1970 Civil War and who may not know the implications of what he is doing. He has never consulted anybody to seek his opinion. He has been speaking to the gullible and not too educated people in Igboland, and very soon these uneducated people will take a dangerous decision that may decimate and destroy Igboland. Soon our people will start complaining that they were not consulted. To be fore warned is to be fore armed.

Last week, I saw the photo of a group of people that gave the impression that they are getting a military training somewhere in Igboland. This afternoon I saw another photograph on facebook with some youths bearing guns and Nnamdi Kanu standing with them. I may not know where these pictures came from and what they are planning to do but this is the time to speak out and I urge anybody who is anybody who understands where we are coming from to stand up now to be counted. Woe betides a nation whose leaders are children. If we elders do not talk about this evil, posterity will never forgive us. Let us speak out and if these children do not hear us, then it should be on record that we spoke. About a month ago the barrage of lies and uncontrolled propaganda Radio Biafra dished out everyday drew the attention of NBC which asked Nigerians to stop listening to this useless Radio Station.

Now here are compelling reasons why Igbo must remain in Nigeria in their own interest:

Igbo fought a civil war of self determination between 1967 and 1970 and lost about one million people. This should be taken as a huge price for the unity of this country. Having paid this monumental supreme price I think Igbo should work for the unity of this country based on social justice, equity and fair play.

Nigeria has three major ethnic groups: Hausa/Fulani, Yoruba and Igbo. The Hausa/Fulani Empire has Hausa people stretching all through the Sahel to the Sudan. They are mostly Muslims and they have contact with the Arab world. The Yoruba nation has Togo, Benin Republic, Sierra Leone and even up to Brazil and Cuba to run to where their kinsmen are. Igbo nation has no outlet anywhere in the world where the language is spoken. Therefore they must see Nigeria as where they belong and work for its survival.

Nigeria provided a big space for Igbo to spread their tentacles, explore, excel and blossom. South East is too small for this highly mobile and dynamic people to thrive.

The world pays attention to Nigeria today because of our size and population. If Nigeria splits into smaller countries the world will pack their bag and baggage and leave. Population and size make a nation a destination.

Assuming we manage to get a State of Biafra which State in the South East will produce the first President? When Enugu State was created, the late Governor C.C Onoh sacked all the Civil Servants and Teachers from Anambra State. Recently former governor Orji of Abia State sacked workers from Imo, Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu States. Now how can we manage Biafra with this attitude?

Igbo control 60-70% of all the imports in Nigeria and other Nigerians, Yoruba, Hausa/Fulani, Ijaw, Efik, Birom, Tiv, Idoma etc provides huge market for Igbo mobile and big time traders.

Monumental inter marriages between Igbo and Yoruba and other ethnic groups have thrived for close to 70years now that we cannot just dismiss all these with a wave of hand.

Igbo own huge and massive investments in property in Lagos and Abuja, and other State capitals in Nigeria. Now are you going to wish all this away?

Other Nigerian cities have provided safe haven for Igbo as places to run to cool off whenever self inflicted crisis arise or other problems. When kidnapping became a way of life in the South East, our people moved to other parts of Nigeria to settle. Now where will Igbo go when confronted with these problems in Biafra.

How can Igbo thrive without their Lagos and Abuja or Port-Harcourt? What happens to all their connections and relationships in these places?

Can someone tell Nnamdi Kanu that wars may be fought for 50years and people will die to achieve Biafra? The war may even consume Nnamdi and all the members of his family and millions of others without achieving the purpose.

We have been so inter-married, interwoven, intertwined, inter-related that the idea of separation may not be encouraged. I do not want to lose my friends from the other parts of Nigeria for anything.

I can go on but there is no need to continue to do so. We must be strong enough to stop this world’s old problems of looking down on people who are different from us. This is the problem of Nigeria. Nigeria’s diversity is a big plus for all of us to excel. United we stand, divided we fall. I confess that Igbo have not played better politics in Nigeria since 1970 and that has been our bane. Anytime we want to change bad leadership in the country Igbo as a block will resist it. It happened in 1993 and we lost everything. In 2015 Igbo were at it again but forces of history prevailed. Igbo can do better than this.

Now we must collectively stop this small boy called Nnamdi Kanu who is still sucking his mother’s breast before he endangers the whole of Igboland and plunge us into a civil war once again. When a writer is silent he is lying. A story that must be told never forgives silence. The only thing necessary for evil to triumph in any society is that good men do nothing.

However, I want Nigerian leaders to show leadership by carrying all Nigerians along in distributing power and resources. If there is no justice, there will be no peace. If there is no peace there will be no progress. Let justice prevail.

Let us be fair to all concerned. If the truth must prevail and it must prevail, Nigeria has not been fair to Igbo since the end of civil war. They tell us that there is no victor and no vanquished but in actions and deeds the victors are still celebrating and enjoying the spoils of the war while the defeated are still languishing in abject neglect. For instance, of all the six zones in Nigeria only the South East zone has five States. We have found solace in all these because we have found out that those who are still oppressing the Igbo in Nigeria are not better. We also take solace in the findings of the Fathers of the Second Vatican Council that all acts of indignity against human persons, against human society debase the perpetrators more than the victims. It is not that the offended cannot forgive but have the offenders repented? This injustice must stop now for the sake of unity of this country. I wrote Igbos: 25 Years After Biafra in 1995 thinking that the book will prick the conscience of other Nigerians but they have not paid any attention. It has been business as usual. Now, President Buhari must address this injustice. Case rested!

Dr Willie Obiano The Face Of An Emerging Igbo Nationalist Leader

Governor  Willie Obiano  Of Anambra State have proven to be a true Igbo nationalist Leader through his recent respond to the Boko Haram relocation to Ekwulobia Prison. He for once stood with the people of Anambra state in the recent protest , he have shown through his actions and utterance to be the man of the people and no doubt he symbolized an emerging Igbo leader.

For the first time Apga under Obiano have taken up a pro Igbo stance unlike what we see under Mr Peter Obi and his allies . for once we can be proud to call Apga an Igbo Party.

its time for all Igbo people to come together and support Obiano and the new Apga Party to provide a meaningful political footstool for our people in this troublesome Nigeria political waters

Ojukwu Our Moses Nnamdi Kanu Our Joshua The Biblical Interconnectivity

The Igbo people have always pride themselves as the Black Jews Of Africa who migrated many century ago from the Holy Land Of Israel to our current location in the gun trigger of the world or better known as the bight of Biafra.

As a political scientist from the prestigious Anambra state university and a theological mystic researcher we are going to show case the perpendicular lines that bind together ancient biblical facts with contemporary historical happenings.

The Igbo people have been existing over 400 years before the amalgamation of Nigeria in 1914 by the British Government who created Nigeria purely for economic convenience , the amalgamation of people with no single atom of compatibility is a costly British Experiment that have caused over 5 million lives within a space of 90 years . the Nigeria civil war alone cost an approximately 5 million lives the image of the starving Biafran children in the 1967s shall continually  stare with those accusing eyes at the Queen Of England for all eternity.

The Igbos are Jews biblical facts have always proved that Yahuwah the Holy God of Israel always send a Messiah in time of oppression and human degradation of His children the Igbos cannot be Jews without partaking in the blessing and curse of the Jewish Nation. The Holy Prophet Isiah predicted the rise of Biafra in the Bible Many century ago.

According to prophet Isaiah The Lord God shall gather the children of Israel twice the first  gathering have already taken place in 1948 during the formation of the state of Israel as we know it today. the book of Isaiah 11 v 11 " And it shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover
the remnants of his people , which shall be left from Assyria and from Egypt , and from pathros and from Cush and from Elam and from Shinar and from Hamath and from the Island of the sea"

It is  geographically important that we show cased the map of the Biafra or old Eastern Region Of Nigeria. Biafra is located at the shore of the Atlantic Ocean and it actually got its name from the bight of  Biafra along this shores comprises several Islands of the sea in the Niger Delta creek which is under the famous Arochukwu Confederation before the advent of British Colonial Masters.

Just like the Children of Israel were taken into slavery and captivity in Egypt, millions of Biafrans were also taken into slavery into America over 400 years ago, it is clear that we as Jews partake in both the blessings and curse of our God Yahuwah The Holy God of  Israel.

Genocide over 6 million Jews were killed during the Second world war by the Nazi Germany which incidentally acted as a catalyst for the formation of the state of Israel in 1948 , in Biafra over 500000 of Igbos were killed in what will become known as the greatest massacre in the history of Africa in the proportion of Genocide incomparable to none . this killings incidentally is also a catalyst that give rise to the declaration of the first Biafra by Ojukwu the resultant effect is the dead of 3 million Biafrans in the bloody genocide of the Nigeria civil war. This is another curse of Yahuwah we partake in.

The first attempt of Moses to liberate Israel was not absolutely successful until Joshua came to lead Israel into the Promise land of Yahuwah .

In the same case Ojukwu First attempt to liberate Biafra was not totally successful so we can now inferred with clarity of Biblical facts that Prince Nnamdi Kanu is the Biblical Joshua of Biafra that have come to lead us into the promise Land of Yahuwah according to the words of Prophet Isiah in Isiah 11 v 11..

Buhari Order Military To Protect Fulani Cow Owners From Rustlers While Neglecting Boko Haram

CATTLE RUSTLERS

CATTLE RUSTLERS, or cattle thieves, have been a problem wherever cattle are run on the range. Nineteenth-century rustlers drove off cattle in herds; present-day rustlers carry them off in trucks.
Rustlers' methods have varied from the rare forceful seizure of cattle in pitched battles, to the far more common

While Boko Haram militants are on the rampage causing serious havoc in the country with over 550 people killed just within a space of  34 days Buhari have failed to take any decisive action. its interesting that the lives of cows are more valuable than ordinary Nigerians.

Instead of protecting Nigerians the president is making laws to protect cow owners this is the high of impunity and insensitivity to the plight of Nigerians.

The Federal Government has ordered military led onslaught against the Cattle Rustlers and bandits causing havoc in some parts of the northern part of the country.

This is the outcome of the closed door meeting between the eight Governors of North Western and North Central states, Security Chiefs and other Federal Government representatives yesterday at the Ministry of Defence, Abuja.

The meeting, which was called at the instance of President Muhammadu Buhari to discuss the deteriorating security situation in the affected region, has the Governors of Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Nasarawa, Niger, Benue and Plateau States in attendance, while that of Zamfara state was represented by the Deputy Governor.

Speaking after the meeting, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoS) Danladi Kifasi who coordinated it on behalf of President Buhari, assured that the state of insecurity in the affected northern part of the country, especially, cattle rustling would be a thing of the past.

Kifasi expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the meeting, saying that the modalities being put in place and championed by the military, would help to bring sustainable peace to the region.

“I am quite satisfied with the outcome of the meeting. Obviously, for security reasons, we cannot discuss operational matters live on television.

“Farmers, people who have cattle can be rest assured that cattle rustlers would be a thing of the past", he said.

When asked the if the military would be actively involved and lead the operations, he said; "it is obvious, it should be obvious that the military will lead the operation".

Prior to the close door meeting, the HoS disclosed that it was the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai who requested for Presidential intervention to address the security situation in the region.

Kifasi revealed that Buhari acting on that request called for an expanded meeting of the governors of the contiguous states in order to arrive at a more sustainable solution to the issue of ethnic killings, cattle rustlings and farmers-herdsmen conflicts.

He said: "The meeting was at the instance of President Muhammadu Buhari. The commander in chief mandated me to call all of you, following a request by the executive governor of kaduna state, in order to review, discuss and come up with modalities leading to the effective tackling of the current security concerns affecting Kaduna State and its neighbouring Katsina, Zamfara and Kebbi in the North West. And Plateau, Benue, Niger and Nassarawa States

"The essence of having your excellencies is to have first hand information as well as your views about the activities of these bandits and the way forward. While the Chief of Defence Staff, the Service Chiefs, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), the Director General of the State Security Service (SSS), Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), will share their ideas about tackling the challenge".

In the same vein, El-Rufai who spoke on behalf of the governors, said that the security operations would be expanded to focus on the forest areas where the notorious rustlers and bandits operates from.

Well, he said, the Governors of some selected states in the Northern part of Nigeria came here to meet with the Chief of Defence Staff, the Service Chiefs, the Inspector General of Policeand the Commandant General of the Nigeran Security Civil and Defence Corp to discuss issues of common security interest to all the states.

"This discussion has started in Kaduna where we are looking at areas, forests that have become a source of banditry in our states, and this ha been expanded to look at other forests in the North Central Nigeria that has also been a source of banditry and criminality. Bt we are discussing with the Ministry of Defence, the Inspector General of Police, the Commandant of the NSCDC. It is an operation to address that", he added.

El-Rufai who is the initiator of the security meeting confirmed that they "have made substantial progress, but the details would be announced at the right time by those in charge of the operation".

According to him, the Governors of each of the states affected by this operatio have in place, post-operations plan including dealing with internally displaced people, activating the State emergency Management Agency, to deal with any emergencies, as well as ensuring the presence of law enforcement in the forest or around the forestso that civil population would continue to live I peace.

"So we have a comprehensive strategy, not only about the military operation but also how to ensure that there is peace and security, post operations", he said.

Those in attendance apart from the governors, HoS, and Security Chiefs includes the Permanent Secretaries of the Ministries of Defence, Finance and Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Today In History OPERATION UNICORD Start Of Nigeria Civil War

The Nigeria Biafra civil war began today in History exactly 48 years ago. the war that was supposed to be a short police action according to the Government of Yakubu Gowon lasted for 2 and half years and resulted in the death of 3 million Biafrans and about 500,000 Nigeria combatant troops.

The Operation UNICORD (July 2 – July 12, 1967) was an offensive launched by the Nigerian Army at the beginning of the Nigerian Civil War. It involved the capture of 6 major Biafran towns near their northern border.

When Nigeria became an independent state in October 1960 the newly formed government consisted mainly of northern politician from the Hausa-Fulani ethnic group. Early on the Nigerian government became corrupt with various politicians swindling public funds and rigging votes. By 1965 the Nigerian government became so corrupt that uprisings against the government sprang up all across Nigeria with various politicians attempting to gain more power. This resulted in rioting and mass arrests in the cities of Lagos and Ibadan. The politicianObafemi Awolowo was falsely blamed for causing the riots and was sentenced to 10 years in a Nigerian prison. All of the chaos that occurred in the political ralm gave was to the 1966 Nigerian coup d'etat in which 11 senior politicians were killed by mainly Igbo soldiers led by the Army Major Chukwuma Nzeogwu. The Nigerian Prime Minister Abubakar Balewa was one of the 11 politicians assassinated during the coup of January 15. Nzeogwu's soldiers were forced to retreat to Kaduna after General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi was able to assemble a force of soldiers in Lagos to combat the rebellious soldiers. Ironsi was made President of Nigeria on January 16, 1966 and became the first Igbo president in Nigerian history. many northern generals and politicians were angry at Ironsi for two reasons, because he did not execute Major Nzeogwu and because he was giving more and more political power to southern politicians. On July 29, 1966 Ironsi was assassinated by a mutinous soldiers under the command of Lt Col Murtala Mohammed and installed Colonel Yakubu Gowon as Head of State. The counter-coup resulted in the 1966 anti-Igbo pogromand caused the brutal massacre of 50,000 Igbo civilians living in various northern cities such as Kano and Kaduna. These massacres angered many Igbo civilians and a call for secession was given by Colonel Odumegwu Ojukwu. Ojukwu met with President Gowon in Aburi, Ghana in December 1966 to discuss the situation that was occurring in Nigeria. A vote was held in May 1967 in the Eastern Region of Nigeria that was to see how many easterners supported a secession. The vote resulted in 68% of easterners approving of a secession of a secular Igbo state. On May 30, 1967 Ojukwu officially seceded the Eastern Region and proclaimed the new Republic of Biafra. Ojukwu managed to assemble a 3,000 man guerrilla force to defend Biafra's front lines. In early July 1967 Nigerian President Gowon ordered General Olusegun Obasanjo to regain control of the Eastern Region.

On July 2, 1967 the Nigerian Army opened its offensive operations from the Northern sector. The First Area Command NA, supported by an artillery brigade consisting of scorpion tankssaladin armored cars, and ferrets was divided into two brigades. The 1st brigade under Maj. Sule Apollo advanced down the Ogugu-Ogunga-Nsukka road while the 2nd brigade under Maj. Martin Adamu advanced down the Gakem-Obudu-Ogoja road. Defending Biafran soldiers under Brig. H.M. Njoku managed to repel the attack, however, the Nigerian Army began recruiting guides and informants to report on the disposition of Biafran troops, their strength, and other crucial information. For 10 days the Nigerian Army fought its way southward and managed to capture the towns of NsukkaOgugu, Ogunga, Ogoja, Gakem, and Obudu while also forcing defending Biafran troops to retreat in disarray. Many Biafran soldiers complained of malaria, headache, and other ailments. Thousands of Biafran civilians fled their homes, in fear of being massacred by Nigerian soldiers, and headed for the Biafran capital, Enugu.

16 days after the Biafrans retreated Nzeogwu attempted to regain control of Nsukka on July 30 but was killed by Nigerian soldiers while driving down a road. Obasanjo was successful in his conquest of Nsukka but did not enter any further into Biafran territory but instead was put aside after the Biafran Generals Albert Okonkwo and Victor Banjo invaded Nigeria's Mid-Western Region. Murtala Mohammed was put in charge of fending off all Biafran soldiers within Nigeria's boundaries. Victor Banjo got within 135 miles of the Nigerian Capital Lagos before he was intercepted by Mohammed's men. After over a month of bloody fighting the Biafrans retreated to Onitsha and released their hold over the Mid-Western Region. With the Midwest Invasion over the Nigerians returned to Nsukka and began planning an invasion of the Biafran Capital Enugu. Due to Nsukka's proximity to Enugu it was a strategic stronghold. Olusegun Obasanjo invaded the area around Enugu in mid September 1967. Obasanjo knew that Enugu would not fall easily if he attacked it head on so he decided to surround the city and begin a siege. On September 30 Obasanjo was able to break through the Biafran defensive lines around Enugu and entered the city. After 6 days of bloody fighting the Biafrans fled south to Umuahia.

Igbo Rising Agbor People Are Part Of The Universal Igbo Nation-Facts

Agbor is an Igbo town in Delta stateNigeria. The indigenes of Agbor town are of Ika descent, an Igbo-speaking group with some Bini influence. The people of Agbor were affiliated with the Kingdom of Nri and may have been founded by settlers from there; the Nze na Ozo titles exist among them as well as other Nri cultural connections. The people of Agbor have traditionally relied on farming and fishing for their food and commerce. Its history is dominated by the many warriors it has produced. Agbor was once affiliated with the Benin Empire before the British conquered Benin, although the idea of Agbor being a colony of Benin is disputed.
According to Mr. Egwabor Iduwe, oral tradition says that “Ogele was the patriarch of the earliest native inhabitants of Agbor land.” Mr. Iduuwe elaborates, “Ika was Ogele’s wife the first lady of our land to whom we owe the dialect we speak as the mother tongue. Her four children were named Eke, Orie, Afo and Nkwo, traditionally immortalized as the names of the four market days in the native four day week.”
“We believe we belong to the Igbo family of people because our language and custom are very similar.”
“Among the ancestors was a man named Nze who we are told founded the spot of Imeobi he named “Agbor” which means a family citadel”
The traditional ruler of Agbor is known as Eze or Obi. The current Obi of Agbor is Benjamin Ikechuku, Keagborekuzi I who goes by Dei, the name of his ruling house, instead of Obi.Dei is an Igbo word traditionally used to address older men as a mark of respect. Dei is the dialectal variant of "De" and "Deede" used in other Igbo areas. In Agbor and in many other Igbo communities, the word "Dei" evolved to become a revered title for the oldest man in the community, and by implication, a title meaning the leader of the community. In many areas of Igboland, Umude or Umudei means the lineage that produces the King, that is the descendants of the King. Umudei is the same as Umueze, Umuezeala, and Umuezeora.
In other accounts by Igbo elders, the title "Dei" is an Ozo title which is a dialectal variant of "Dim". In other words, "Dei" and "Dim" are the same title, where the one is prevalent in Agbor and Western Igbo dialects, the latter is prevalent in Central Igbo areas. "Nwadei" and "Nwadim"
are Igbo surnames of the same meaning. Similarly, "Umudei" and "Umudim" are popular names of Igbo villages, and both are dialectal variants of the same meaning.

Historical Revisionism Aro Confederacy Is The Government Of Eastern Nigeria

Cultural assimilation is the process by which a person or a group's language and/or culture come to resemble those of another group. The term is used to refer to both individuals and groups, and in the latter case it can refer to either immigrant diasporas or native residents that come to be culturally dominated by another society. Assimilation may involve either a quick or gradual change depending on circumstances of the group. Full assimilation occurs when new members of a society become indistinguishable from members of the other group. Whether or not it is desirable for an immigrant group to assimilate is often disputed by both members of the group and those of the dominant society.
Arochukwu is believed to have been the homeland of the Ibibio as they arrived in 300 AD from the Benue valley and founded early states like Obong Okon Ita and Ibom. Many years passed as Igbo immigrants came along and pressed into the Ibibio occupied territory and founded several states. The first Igbo group were the Ezeagwu group led by their leader Agwu Inobia. As Aro-Ibibio wars occurred, there was a stalemate. In reaction, the Eze Agwu clan invited a priest named Nnachi from the Edda clan of northeastern Igboland and another group from the east of the Cross River through Nnachi. These people were identified as the Akpa people. Akpa forces led by Osim and Akuma Nnubi, they helped the Igbo forces capture the rest of the area. This formed the alliance of 19 new and old states in the area known as the Arochukwu kingdom around 1650-1700. The first king (or Eze Aro) of a unified Arochukwu was Akuma but after his death, Nnachi son's Oke Nnachi took over and his descendants have the throne to this day.
By the mid-18th century, there were mass migrations of several Aro business families into the Igbo hinterland and adjacent areas. This migration, influence of their god Ibini Ukpabi through priests, and their military power backed up by alliances with several related neighboring Igbo and eastern Cross River militarized states (particularly Ohafia,AbamAbiribaAfikpoEkoi, etc.) quickly established the Aro Confederacy as a regional economic power. However, Aro economic hegemony was threatened by the penetration of Europeans, mainly British colonists in the wake of the 20th century. Tensions finally led to bloodshed and the Anglo-Aro War took place from 1901-1902. The Aro Confederacy stoutly resisted but were eventually defeated. This helped the British to occupy the rest of what is now known as Eastern Nigeria.
The city of Onitsha was founded by Igbo group from Arochukwu under the leadership of Eze Chima. People of Arochukwu founded many other communities both within and outside Igboland.
Arochukwu played a significant role in the trans-Atlantic slave trade of the 1600-1800 AD. The Aro confederacy (Aro slave traders) scattered throughout the hinterlands of the Igbo nation, in coalition with several Igbo tribal leaders orchestrated the sale of over 4 million Igbo sons and daughters during the transatlantic slave trade. Many Igbo slaves who were shipped from the slave outposts in Calabar and Bonny to Europe and the Americas, were first assembled in Arochukwu, and then transported to Calabar or Bonny via the Aro Blue River which pours into the Atlantic ocean. Most Igbo slaves were shipped to North Carolina and Virginia, in the United States. Igbo slaves were also shipped to the Caribbean Islands of Jamaica, Haiti, and Cuba.

Ojukwu Mid-west Invasion Is To Liberate Yoruba's From Northern Domination

The Truth is that the only reason why Ojukwu invaded the mid west en route to Lagos is to Liberate our Yoruba Brothers of the south west from the the domineering influence of the North its an act of brotherhood and a mighty hand shake Across the Niger Rivers. it is an attempt to build a strong Southern Alliance . His choice of Victor Banjo to led the operation is a clear evident that the army is nothing but an Army of Liberation . the south west must understand that the best and most reliable friend they can ever have is from the South East.

We must build a solidified Southern Alliance to curtail the aggression of the North in this current political dispensation.

At 3 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 1967, the fourth anniversary of the democratic creation of the Midwestern region, a motorized rifle brigade consisting of 3000 Biafran soldiers and militiamen, under the command of Lt. Col. ["Brigadier"] Victor Banjo, crossed the Niger Bridge at Onitsha into Asaba. The Biafran Invasion of the Midwest had begun. Transported in over 100 trucks and civilian vehicles, this was the nucleus of what eventually was planned to be designated the "101st division", also known as the "Liberation Army of Nigeria" or the "Midwest Expeditionary Force". Upon arrival in the Midwest, they split up into three spearheads, destined to peal off from one another at Agbor. Units fired indiscriminately into the air as they arrived unchallenged at successive tactical objectives. The seizure of the Midwest was essentially accomplished within 12 hours (8, 9, 13, 14).
The 101st HQ group included Major ('Lt. Col.') Emmanuel Ifeajuna as Chief of Staff and Captain ("Major") Joe Isichie as QuarterMaster General. Much later in the campaign, Lt. ("Major") Fola Oyewole (upon release from prison in Enugu, where he (and Adeleke) had been detained for the January 15 coup) became Isichie's deputy (16).
The 12th Battalion, under Lt. Col. Festus Akagha, made a dash for Benin City, [the capital]. The 18th battalion under Major Humphrey Chukwuka, headed for Warri, [in the oilrich delta] with Sapele and Ughelli as secondary objectives. The 13th battalion under Lt. Col. Mike Ivenso, swung northwards toward Auchi, with Agenebode (across the Niger from Idah, in Benue State), and Okene (in then Kwara state) as secondary objectives. A detachment was to head for Jebba to destroy the Niger Bridge at that location (8, 9).

General Victor Banjo crossed the River Niger Bridge at Onitsha and entered Asaba. When the Biafrans reached Agbor they split up, the Biafran 12th Battalion under Lt. Col. Festus Akagha began moving north-west to Benin City, the 18th Battalion under Major Humphrey Chukwuka made its way into the oil-rich Niger Delta, and the 13th Battalion under Col. Mike Inveso swung northwards towards Auchi. Benin City was captured with little opposition as Biafran soldiers fired their weapons into the air upon entering the city. The 13th Battalion established control over Auchi and Agenebode while also capturing the towns of Okene,Atani, and Iloshi, A Nigerian Army unit was pursued by Biafran soldiers to the Siluko River where the two sides exchanged fire, before the Nigerians managed to escape under the cover of darkness. Within 12 hours of the initial invasion the Biafran Army had control over the entire Mid-Western Region. Unbeknownst to General Banjo a unit of Biafran soldiers under Lt. Col. Oechi attacked the government residence of Mid-Western Region governor David Ejoor on the orders of President Odumegwu Ojukwu to capture Ejoor dead or alive, Ejoor's guards resisted the attacking Biafrans which gave Ejoor enough time to escape and flee to Lagos. The 13th Battalion was given the job of defending the Biafran north flank while also cutting off Nigerian supplies going to Nsukka. The 12th Battalion was transformed into the 12th Brigade and given the job of capturing Ibadan and Lagos from two axes at the towns of Ore and Okitipupa but this was delayed for three days while President Ojukwu and General Banjo argued over who to appoint Governor/Administrator of the Mid-Western Region. Not wanting to appoint an Igbo over non-Igbo citizens General Banjo suggested that either David Ejoor, Sam Ogbemudia, or Col. Trimnell be made governor but Ojukwu refused and ultimately placed the Igbo medical-officer Albert Okonkwo governor. When General Banjo returned to Benin City on August 12 he ordered the 12th Brigade to make its way to the town of Ore but not to attack Ibadan or Lagos until further notice. In Warri, Major Chukwuka released Major Adewale Ademoyega from jail after getting into a fistfight with Major Emannuel Ifeajuna. Ifeajuna made his way to Benin City where he was put in command of the newly formed 19th Battalion, which consisted of 700 recently conscripted soldiers. The next day Major Ademoyega relieved Ifeajuna of his command and replaced him with Lt. Col. Henry Igboba.
